Integrated Clinical and microRNA Signatures for Predicting Altitude-Related Hypertension
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Essential hypertension (EH) remains a leading contributor to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease worldwide. However, the molecular mechanisms driving EH under chronic hypoxia, particularly among long-term residents of high-altitude regions, remain unclear. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), as critical post-transcriptional regulators, offer a promising link between hypoxia, inflammation, and vascular remodeling.
