ABSTRACT: To investigate the impact of hypoxanthine and pyroglutamic acid on downstream signaling mechanisms, we treated human aortic smooth muscle cells (HASMCs) and Human aortic endothelial cells (HAECs) with these metabolites and analyzed pathway activation.
