Multi‑omics analysis of anxiolytic gut–brain pathways induced by heat‑killed Lactobacillus brevis in zebrafish [Brain RNA-seq]
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to elucidate the molecular gut-brain pathways underlying the anxiolytic effects of heat-inactivated L. brevis SBC8803 using zebrafish as a translational model. Adult fish received oral SBC8803 and were assessed in the novel tank test. To interrogate mechanisms, we combined brain RNA sequencing with 16S rRNA gene profiling of the gut microbiota and performed integrative multi‑omics analyses to identify host gene expression changes and microbial functional alterations associated with anxiolysis.
