RNA-seq analysis of low potassium and pmk-1–regulated genes in C. elegans
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: RNA-seq was performed in C. elegans to identify low potassium–responsive genes and pmk-1–dependent genes. Day 1 adult N2 (wild type) or pmk-1(km25) animals were exposed to 100 mM NaCl or 100 mM KCl for 4 hours, and RNA was extracted. Low potassium genes were identified by comparing N2 under 100 mM NaCl versus 100 mM KCl, and pmk-1–regulated genes were identified by comparing pmk-1(km25) mutants to wild type under 100 mM KCl.
