RNA-seq on mice lung to reveals a tissue protective role of butyrate

ABSTRACT: We have employed a transcriptome sequencing unsing RNA-seq to study the role of butyrate administration on lung tissues following influenza virus infection. Butyrate is a key microbial metabolite from gut commensals. This study reveals a tissue protective role of butyrate during influenza.
