Effect of NFAP2 treatment on early-stage filamentous Candida albicans and pseudohyphal Candida auris cultures
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The Neosartorya (Aspergillus) fischeri antifungal protein 2 (NFAP2) represents a particularly promising candidate in the fight against fungal infections. To facilitate the progression of NFAP2 toward clinical application, a comprehensive understanding of its antifungal mode of action against filamentous Candida forms is essential. In the present study, we analyzed the transcriptomic responses of filamentous Candida albicans and pseudohyphal Candidozyma (Candida) auris cells following exposure to NFAP2.
