Gene expression profiling of HSC-3 oral squamous cell carcinoma cells co-cultured with necrotic cells

ABSTRACT: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells are exposed to necrotic cell–derived factors within the tumor microenvironment. This dataset describes gene expression profiling of the human OSCC cell line HSC-3 following indirect co-culture with necrotic cells for 16 hours using cell culture inserts with 1 µm pores (NC/ID condition), in comparison with monoculture controls. Microarray analysis was performed to characterize transcriptional responses of HSC-3 cells to soluble factors released from necrotic cells.
