Expression data from retinoic acid induced newborn rat epidermal keratinocytes
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Epidermal keratinization is a tightly regulated process essential for skin barrier function, requiring coordinated control of keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation. Retinoic acid, a bioactive metabolite of vitamin A, is known to promote keratinocyte proliferation while suppressing differentiation; however, the molecular mechanisms underlying this dual regulation remain incompletely understood. We analyzed retinoic acid-induced changes in proliferative characteristics and keratinization-associated differentiation, assessed global gene expression profiles. (Microarray)
