Detachment-induced gene expression changes in four lung adenocarcinoma cell lines, H2009, LC-2/ad, H2228, and HCC4006.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The aims of the study was to analyze gene expression changes induced by detachment from culture plate. Of the genes upregulated in detached state, we focused on MUC21, a membrane-anchored mucin, that was previously shown to exhibit anti-adhesive property. Using MUC21-KO cells, we demonstrated that MUC21 play a critical role in the growth and survival of lung adenocarcinoma cells both in attached and detached state.
