Synovial Gene Expression Profiling Identifies Cardiovascular-Related Pathways Associated with Osteophyte Formation in Patients with Osteochondritis Dissecans of Humeral Capitellum After Osteochondral Autograft Transplantation


ABSTRACT: This is the first genomic study of human OCD of the humeral capitellum demonstrating that the potential involvement of cardiovascular-related pathways, particularly ANGPTL-1, in postoperative osteophyte development after OAT surgery. These findings may contribute to elucidating the pathogenesis of OCD of humeral capitellum and to developing the future therapeutic interventions to prevent degenerative change of elbow in patients with OCD of humeral capitellum.
