Functional analysis of NtWRKY70 regulating tobacco defense against Rhizoctonia solani AG3-TB
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Rhizoctonia solani AG3-TB is a destructive soil-borne necrotrophic fungus that causes tobacco target spot disease. WRKY70 serves as a critical regulatory hub integrating salicylic acid (SA) and jasmonic acid (JA) signaling pathways to modulate defense responses. Previous studies have revealed that NtWRKY70 is significantly upregulated following R. solani AG3-TB infection, but its critical role in the resistance mechanism remains unclear.
