Single-cell RNA sequencing of interferon beta treated human prenatal lung explants

ABSTRACT: Human prenatal lung tissue was obtained from the University of Washington Birth Defects Research Laboratory under institutional review board approval. Lung explants were cultured at an air–liquid interface and treated with interferon beta (IFNB) or control conditions. Single-cell RNA sequencing libraries were generated using the 10x Genomics Chromium Single Cell 3′ Gene Expression platform and sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq X Plus platform. Sequencing reads were processed using the Cell Ranger pipeline to generate gene expression count matrices. This dataset captures cell-type specific transcriptional responses to interferon beta treatment in developing human lung tissue.
