Gene expression profiling of the adult male mouse brain after experimental ischemic stroke in C57BL/6 and TNF knockout mice

ABSTRACT: Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a pleiotropic immunomodulatory cytokine rapidly induced after ischemic stroke, but its effects on lesion evolution and tissue remodeling remain unclear. Here we investigated the transcriptional changes induced in the brain by experimental stroke in C57BL/6 and TNF knockout adult male mice compared to naive genotype-matched controls.
