Effect of overexpression of DDX17(P82) on gene expression in LIM1215 cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: DEAD-box helicase 17 (DDX17), known to exist as two isoforms, p72 and p82, is a member of the DEAD-box family. In addition to serving as an RNA helicase, DDX17 also plays an essential role in transcriptional regulation. Here, we report that the overexpression of DDX17 (P82) promotes the expression of JAK-STAT pathway–related genes. Moreover, DDX17 (P82) forms phase-separated droplets with SP1 in the nucleus, which enhances the transcriptional activity of the target genes, driving cetuximab resistance in colorectal cancer (CRC).
