Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth as a potent cell therapy for refractory osteonecrosis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: RNA sequencing was performed to compare gene expression profiles between SHED and BMSCs in a rat model of radiation-induced tibial osteonecrosis. SHED demonstrated enhanced secretion of angiogenic and chemotactic factors and promoted bone regeneration in vivo, whereas BMSCs showed limited effects. These results suggest that SHED may represent a promising therapeutic strategy for refractory osteonecrosis.
