RNA sequencing of human platelets isolated from peripheral blood and differentiated from hiPSCs
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, we performed bulk RNA sequencing (bulk RNA-seq) to systematically compare the transcriptional profiles of platelets derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and peripheral blood platelets. Comparative transcriptomic analysis was conducted to evaluate the global gene expression differences between the two platelet sources and to characterize the molecular features of iPSC-derived platelets at the transcriptional level. These data provide insights into the biological similarities and differences between ex vivo–generated platelets and native peripheral blood platelets, and may facilitate the further optimization and translational application of iPSC-derived platelet production systems.
