Transcriptomic profiling of Candida glabrata under eltrombopag (ETP) treatment
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to investigate the transcriptional responses of Candida glabrata to eltrombopag (ETP) treatment. RNA sequencing analysis identified 122 differentially expressed genes under ETP treatment, including 44 upregulated and 78 downregulated genes. The upregulated genes were associated with stress responses and iron homeostasis, whereas the downregulated genes were mainly related to mitochondrial respiration. GO and KEGG enrichment analyses showed that ETP treatment was associated with changes in pathways related to mitochondrial function, iron-dependent processes, and cellular stress responses. These data provide transcriptomic evidence that ETP affects iron homeostasis and mitochondrial respiration-related pathways in C. glabrata.
