RNA-seq analysis of methylglyoxal- and N-acetylcysteine-treated SH-SY5Y cells

ABSTRACT: This dataset contains bulk RNA-seq data from SH-SY5Y cells treated with methylglyoxal (MG) in the presence or absence of N-acetylcysteine (NAC). The experiment was designed to identify transcriptional changes induced by MG treatment and to examine whether NAC modifies MG-associated gene expression changes. SH-SY5Y cells were treated with 1 mM MG for 24 h, with or without 10 mM NAC, and gene expression profiles were analyzed by RNA-seq.
