Transcriptomics of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, liver and adipose tissue of Tan sheep under dietary succinic acid treatment

ABSTRACT: 24 growing male Tan sheep were assigned to a basal diet or the same diet supplemented with 1% succinic acid for 60 days. Transcriptomic analyses further revealed tissue-specific responses involving neuroendocrine regulation, mitochondrial metabolism, lipid handling, thermogenesis, and adipose lipolysis across the hypothalamic-pituitary-liver-adipose axis.
