N6-methyladenosine circRNA Epitranscriptomic Microarray analysis in peripheral blood of patients with β-thalassemia intermedia and major_10 samples

ABSTRACT: β-thalassemia is a group of bone marrow disorders characterized by defects in erythropoiesis. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are functionally significant and hold tremendous potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets in numerous human diseases. Although the functional interplay between N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modifications and circRNAs is becoming increasingly well understood, their specific cross-talk in β-thalassemia remains poorly characterized. Here, we aim to identify the differentially expressed m6A circRNAs in β-thalassemia and elucidate the function of m6A modification and the mechanism by which circRNAs regulate erythropoiesis.
