Comparative RNA-seq analysis of PM2.5 responses in wildtype and malignantly transformed mouse mammary epithelial cells cultured as spheroids
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) has been implicated in cancer initiation and progression, yet its effects on normal versus transformed epithelial cells in a three-dimensional context remain incompletely understood. In this study, we performed bulk RNA sequencing of spheroid cultures of wildtype EpH4 mouse mammary epithelial cells and their malignantly transformed counterpart, EpH4-AS. Both cell types were analyzed under untreated conditions and following PM2.5 exposure. This dataset enables comparative analysis of differential transcriptomic responses of malignant transformation and healthy WT cells after exposure to PM2.5 in a 3D culture system.
