Transcriptome profiling of penile tissues in a rat model of hypospadias by RNA sequencing
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Gene expression dysregulation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of congenital malformations, including hypospadias. To characterize transcriptomic alterations associated with hypospadias, RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was performed on penile tissues collected from normal rats and a rat model of hypospadias. These datasets provide comprehensive gene expression profiles that facilitate the investigation of molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways involved in the development of hypospadias.
