Ribosome-associated RNA sequencing of medial prefrontal cortex parvalbumin interneurons following Foxo1 deletion

ABSTRACT: FOXO1 is required for maintaining cellular homeostasis in medial prefrontal cortex parvalbumin interneurons. To characterize the molecular consequences of FOXO1 loss, ribosome-associated transcripts were isolated specifically from parvalbumin interneurons in the medial prefrontal cortex of control and Foxo1 conditional knockout mice and profiled by RNA sequencing. Comparative transcriptomic analysis revealed alterations in autophagy-related transcriptional programs in Foxo1-deficient parvalbumin interneurons.
