Transcriptomic Signatures Associated with Brain Metastasis Across Breast Cancer Subtypes

ABSTRACT: Brain metastasis is a significant complication of breast cancer, and its molecular determinants vary across breast cancer subtypes. This study examined transcriptomic differences associated with brain metastasis using RNA sequencing of breast cancer tissues. The deposited RNA-seq dataset contains 42 analyzed biological samples, comprising 23 samples classified as brain-metastasis positive and 19 as brain-metastasis negative. Differential gene-expression and functional enrichment analyses were used to characterize brain-metastasis-associated transcriptional programs across Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2-enriched, and triple-negative breast cancer subtypes.
