Non-target-site resistance mechanisms to glyphosate in Eleusine indica from Xinjiang cotton fields
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Glyphosate resistance in Eleusine indica is associated with diverse target-site and non-target-site resistance mechanisms. In this study, a glyphosate-resistant population (GR-R) collected from cotton fields in Xinjiang, China, was compared with a glyphosate-susceptible population (GR-S). RNA sequencing was performed to investigate transcriptional differences associated with glyphosate resistance. Differential expression analysis identified genes involved in oxidative stress responses, metabolism, hormone signaling, and transport, including cytochrome P450 and ABC transporter candidates potentially associated with non-target-site glyphosate resistance.
