Transcriptome and chromatin accessibility across multiple tissues of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) and Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) under heat stress [LMB ATAC]
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This project aims to investigate the genetic mechanisms underlying the difference in heat resistance between largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) and Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), two widely cultured Perciformes species, through comparative transcriptomics and epigenetics. RNA-seq data were generated for multiple tissues (brain, gill, heart, kidney, and liver), and ATAC-seq data were generated for brain and liver in both species. These data allow for the exploration of tissue- and species-specific heat-responsive genes, chromatin accessibility profiles, and transcription factor binding footprints.
