Inflammatory signature of subcutaneous fat after weight loss and regain in women undergoing repeated bariatric surgery
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We compared adipose tissue transcriptomes from women undergoing primary bariatric surgery (p-BS) or repeated bariatric surgery (r-BS) following documented weight loss and subsequent regain. Bulk RNA-seq of matched subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissue samples was used to investigate group-associated molecular changes, including inflammatory signatures.
