GRHL2 loss alters redox homeostasis and attenuates erastin-induced ferroptosis in colorectal cancer cells

ABSTRACT: Redox homeostasis critically determines ferroptosis sensitivity, but the role of grainyhead-like 2 (GRHL2) in colorectal cancer remains unclear. RNA sequencing was performed to compare parental HCT116 cells with a CRISPR/Cas9-generated B8 GRHL2-KO clone and to define GRHL2-associated transcriptional changes relevant to redox homeostasis and ferroptosis sensitivity.
