ABSTRACT: The global transcriptome of the wild type Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM strain (NCK56) was measured during exponential growth on 11 prebiotic carbohydrates and glucose to identify the specific gene cluster differentially upregulated in response to each carbohydrate.
