Bone Marrow Endothelial Cell Progenitor Cell Irradiation Study

Project description:Question Addressed: What is the gene expression profile from human bone marrow endothelial cells (BMEC) and human CD34+ stem and progenitor cells (HSPC) after irradiation (IR)? What, if any, is the effect of co-culturing these two cell types on gene expression? There are eight experimental conditions for this experiment: (1) non-irradiated BMEC; (2) irradiated BMEC; (3) non-irradiated CD34+; (4) irradiated CD34+; (5) non-irradiated BMEC + non-irradiated CD34+; (6) non-irradiated BMEC + irradiated CD34; (7) irradiated BMEC + non-irradiated CD34+; (8) irradiated BMEC + irradiated CD34+. A common, pooled reference consisting of RNA taken from conditions 1-8 as described above was used for all hybridizations.
