ABSTRACT: The global transcriptome of the Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bl-04 was analyzed during exponential growth on 11 prebiotic carbohydrates and glucose to identify the specific gene cluster differentially upregulated in response to each carbohydrate.
