ABSTRACT: Tumor cells were microdissected from frozen sections of NLPHL and THRLBCL. RNA was amplified using the NUGEN WT-Ovation-One-direct-Kit. Samples were compared to tonsilar germinal center CD77 B cells.

Project description:Tumor cells were microdissected from frozen sections of NLPHL and THRLBCL. RNA was amplified using the NUGEN One-direct kit. Samples were compared to tonsilar germinal center CD77 B cells. 30 microdissected tumour samples were compared with 5 sorted CD77 samples.

Expression data from the Finnish Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma (NLPHL) family and ten controls

Project description:Gene expression was studied from the blood derived RNAs of the Finnish family members as well as from 10 controls using GeneChip Human Genome U133 Plus2 (Affymetrix). Eight out of 10 family members in the expression analysis are heterozygous for the NPAT c.2437-2438delAG, three of which are NLPHL cases. NPAT expression was studied in the NLPHL patients and the carriers of the deletion c.2437-2438delAG (8) compared to the controls and the non-mutation carriers (12). Note: Case 2 not submitted. Publication pending.

Project description:T-cell/histiocyte rich B cell lymphoma (THRBL) and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin's lymphoma (NLPHL) share some morphological characteristics, including a prominent stromal reaction, but display a markedly different prognosis. To investigate the difference between the stromal reactions of these lymphomas at the molecular level, we performed microarray expression profiling on a series of THRBL and NLPHL cases.
