ABSTRACT: Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) can efficiently infect and transform primary rat mesenchymal precursor (MM) cells. Regulation of cell cycle progression and apoptosis by KSHV-encoded microRNAs is required for KSHV-induced cellular transformation and tumorigenesis.
