ABSTRACT: Despite numerous reports of human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cardiac progenitor cells which potentially differentiate into cardiomyocytes (CMs), defined cellular population which definitively differentiate into CMs under diverse conditions is not reported so far. To identify cardiomyocyte-fated progenitors (CFPs) which exclusively differentiate into CMs under various culture conditions in vitro, we performed microarray analysis to detect candidate genes related to CFPs by examining the increase of temporal gene expression level during differentiation days 3 to 5.
