ABSTRACT: Leptin binding to the leptin receptor (LepR) causes rapid signaling to the nucleus. We investigated the early (2 hr) transcriptional response to acute leptin injection (intracerebroventricular) in the preoptic area/hypothalamus/pituitary of Xenopus tadpoles.
