ABSTRACT: Supplementary raw data files for "A distinct growth physiology enhances bacterial growth under rapid nutrient fluctuation", Nguyen et al. E. coli is grown in media containing various nutrient concentrations and uptake of nutrients is measured. Untargeted metabolomics measurements were performed with a binary LC pump (Agilent Technologies) and a MPS2 Autosampler (Gerstel) coupled to an Agilent 6520 time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Agilent Technologies) operated in negative mode, at 4 Ghz, high resolution, with a m/z (mass/charge) range of 50-1,600. The mobile phase consisted of isopropanol:water (60:40, v/v) with 5 mM ammonium fluoride buffer at pH 9 at a flow rate of 150 ul/min.
