ABSTRACT: Lotus leaf (Nelumbinis Folium) is a kind of common medicinal and edible homologous Chinese herbal medicine.Effective components from the lotus leaf mainly include alkaloids, flavonoids, volatile oils, polysaccharides, polyphenols, etc., in addition to steroid, fatty acid, protein, amino acids, trace elements and vitamins and other active ingredients, its pharmacological effects are also very wide, with a lipid diet, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, regulate blood sugar, immune regulation and the selective inhibition of nerve excitement.In recent years, lotus leaf has attracted the attention of researchers at home and abroad. This paper, by collecting, sorting out and analyzing relevant literatures at home and abroad, summarizes the research status of the active components in lotus leaf and its pharmacological effects, so as to provide scientific basis and theoretical guidance for further development and utilization of lotus leaf.
