GNPS - LC-MS/MS metabolomic analyses in Solanum lycorpersycum seed exudates - control and MeJA priming - GNPS

ABSTRACT: Solanum lycopersicum Stupicke, Criollo and Micro-Tom genotypes were used in this study. Some seeds of these accessions were subjected to priming treatment with MeJA. Seeds exudates were collected from MeJA-treated and untreated (control) seeds and subjected to LC-MS/MS metabolomic analyses.

The stress applied was 150mM NaCl and control plants were watered without the additional salt. Samples were collected at 0, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 96 hours after the first application of the salt. Project description:Solanum lycopersicum RNA degradome sequencing Isolated polyadenylated RNA from total RNA extracts of Solanum lycopersicum, were ligated to 5'-adapter that includes an MmeI recognition site. The ligated products were purified again, reverse transcribed and cleaved with MmeI. The 5' fragments were purified from gel and ligated to a 3'- dsDNA adapter and PCR amplified. Drought stress was applied by stopping watering of the plants, control plants were normally watered with nutrient solution. Note: Samples in SRA were assigned the same sample accession. This is incorrect as there are different samples, hence “Source Name” was replaced with new values. Transcription profiling of tomato - organ specificity of wax biosynthesis

Project description:Fruits and leaves of the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) cultivar MicroTom were investigated. MicroTom wild type and lecer6 mutant with a deficiency in a fatty acid beta-ketoacyl-CoA synthase (LeCER6) were used. The samples were composed of mature green, whole fruits with seeds being removed (fruit developmental category II). The locular tissue (gel) that surrounded the seeds and fills the locular cavity were detached. Otherwise, the samples contained fully developed leaves. After sampling point the plant material was immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80 C until use.
