GNPS-coniotin high-resolution mass spectrometry data

ABSTRACT: We purified coniotin from Coniochaeta fungus and determined its high-resolution mass (MS and MS/MS) using an Agilent 1290 Infinity II HPLC system coupled to a 6550 Q-TOF ESI/MS. Here, we deposit the full high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry data of coniotin to GNPS for public access and reference.

INSTRUMENT(S): Agilent 1290 Infinity II LC System (Agilent Technologies) coupled with a qTOF 6550 mass detector

The rise of drug-resistant fungal pathogens, including Candida auris, highlights the urgent need for innovative antifungal therapies. We have developed a cost-effective platform combining microbial extract prefractionation with rapid mass spectrometry-bioinformatics-based dereplication to efficiently prioritize previously uncharacterized antifungal scaffolds. Screening C. auris and Candida albicans reveals coniotins, lipopeptaibiotics isolated from Coniochaeta hoffmannii, which are undetectable  ...[more]
