Marker for type VI secretion system effectors


ABSTRACT: Data from PeptideAtlas, [[http://www.peptideatlas.org/PASS/PASS00442 PASS00442]]. File: QEX1_C01215_R3.mzml. From PeptideAtlas: {{i}} Vibrio parahaemolyticus cells were grown in minimal media (M9 + 3% NaCl) with addition of 5 uM phenamil (to simulate growth on surface) for 5 hours in triplicates, and secreted proteins were precipitated from the media, ran on a gel (10 mm) and excised. Two strains were used: R = POR1 delta:opaR (T6SS1 +) and H = POR1 delta:opaR delta:hcp1 (T6SS1 -). Triplicate samples were analyzed for R and H. The goal of this experiment is to identify proteins that are secreted from ... R and not from the ... H. These are potentially effector proteins that are secreted via the type VI secretion system 1 (T6SS1). {{/i}}
