Age-dependent protein expression in human and macaque brains

From PeptideAtlas: {{i}} For extraction, we used 100mg frozen prefrontal cortex samples from 12 human and 12 macaque individuals ... . The 12 human and 12 macaque samples were processed in two batches with 6 individuals in each, with similar age distributions in both batches. Tissue samples were minced, washed in ice-cold PBS and homogenized in ice-cold lysis buffer (8 M urea, 4% CHAPS, 65 mM DTT, 40 mM Tris, cocktail protease inhibitor, 100 mg of tissue/1 ml) using an electric homogenizer. {{/i}}
