ABSTRACT: In the present work, we analyzed the intra-and extracellular proteome of N. flagelliforme over a complete rehydration period both in sterilization and natural condition for the first time.

Nostoc flagelliforme is well known for its strong ecological adaptability in inhabiting desert biological soil crusts. However, the mechanism of its recovery from quiescent to active state after prolonged dormancy remains poorly characterized.
