Prefrontal cortex proteomics of CMS-treated rats


ABSTRACT: We used a chronic mild stress (CMS) protocol to separate susceptible-depression, susceptible-anxiety and insusceptible rat subgroups. Differential proteomes in the prefrontal cortex were analyzed based on isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) labeling combined with mass spectrometry.

Chronic stress is a significant risk factor for depression as well as anxiety disorders.
