Global effects of RAB3GAP1 dysexpression on the proteome of mouse cortical neurons


ABSTRACT: The transfection of the in vitro neurons was conducted using the lentivirus for under-expression (partial silencing) or over-expression of RAB3GAP1 to separate UE-RAB3GAP1 (RAB3GAP1 under-expression), UE-Ctrl (over-expression control), OE-RAB3GAP1 (RAB3GAP1 over-expression), and OE-Ctrl (under-expression control) groups. Differential proteomes were analyzed based on isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) labeling combined with mass spectrometry.

Mounting studies have demonstrated that RAB3GAP1 expression is modified in brain diseases with multiple neurobiological functions and processes and acts as a potentially significant target.
