A global multi-regional proteomic map of the human cerebral cortex


ABSTRACT: In this study, four groups of the iTRAQ quantification experiment using 2D-LC-MS/MS analysis, one group of the label-free quantification experiment using 2D-LC-MS/MS analysis, one group of the PRM quantification experiment of the human brain tissue were included. Therefore, six subprojects are included in this project. Subproject IPX0001938001 is composed of the label-free analysis of Brodmann Area 46 sub-dataset generated by In-solution Digestion and High-pH RPLC Separation (20 Fractions). Subproject IPX0001938003 is composed of the iTRAQ analysis of 29 Brodmann Areas (group 1) sub-dataset generated by In-solution Digestion and High-pH RPLC Separation (20 Fractions). Subproject IPX0001938004 is composed of the iTRAQ analysis of 29 Brodmann Areas (group 2) sub-dataset generated by In-solution Digestion and High-pH RPLC Separation (20 Fractions). Subproject IPX0001938005 is composed of the iTRAQ analysis of 29 Brodmann Areas (group 3) sub-dataset generated by In-solution Digestion and High-pH RPLC Separation (20 Fractions). Subproject IPX0001938006 is composed of the iTRAQ analysis of 29 Brodmann Areas (group 4) sub-dataset generated by In-solution Digestion and High-pH RPLC Separation (20 Fractions). Subproject IPX0001938007 is composed of the PRM analysis of 27 Brodmann Areas sub-dataset generated by In-solution Digestion.

The Brodmann area (BA)-based map is one of the most widely used cortical maps for studies of human brain functions and in clinical practice; however, the molecular architecture of BAs remains unknown. The present study provided a global multiregional proteomic map of the human cerebral cortex by analyzing 29 BAs.
