Serum proteomic analysis identifies SAA1, FGA,SAP and CETP as new biomarkers for Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis


ABSTRACT: Our findings suggest that DIA combined with PRM mass spectrometric method was effective in identifying and validating the candidate biomarkers for several diseases including EGPA diagnosis. We have discovered and validated three new potentially serum biomarkers FGA, SAP and CETP for discriminating EGPA from severe asthma groups. These potential biomarkers might be of great importance to diagnosis EGPA.

<h4>Background</h4>Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is characterized by asthma-like attacks in its early stage, which is easily misdiagnosed as severe asthma.
