TMT-labeled quantitative proteomic reveals the effect of age on subcutaneous fat proteome of Chinese indigenous Ningxiang pig


ABSTRACT: Adipose tissue not only affects meat quality and animal productivity, but also participates in inflammation and immunity. Ningxiang pig is famous for their excellent meat quality, disease resistance and roughage-resistance. However, it is not yet clear how adipose tissue is dynamically regulated during the growth of Ningxiang pig. This study has characterized the proteomic changes in subcutaneous adipose tissue from fed conventional diet in an effort to understand the molecular mechanism of fat development during natural growth in feedlot production.
