DIA-based proteomic analysis of barley seeds in response to salt stress

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to analyze and research the differences in the mechanism of salt tolerance regulation in different germplasms of barley during seed germination. The agricultural production of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) is affected by salinity stress due to the increasing problem of global soil salinization. We performed data-independent acquisition (DIA)-based quantitative proteomics of two barley cultivars with different salt tolerance under salt stress

ORGANISM(S): Hordeum Vulgare

Salt stress is a major abiotic stress factor affecting crop production, and understanding of the response mechanisms of seed germination to salt stress can help to improve crop tolerance and yield. The differences in regulatory pathways during germination in different salt-tolerant barley seeds are not clear. Therefore, this study investigated the responses of different salt-tolerant barley seeds during germination to salt stress at the proteomic and metabolic levels. To do so, the proteomics an  ...[more]
