<i>Brassica napus inap</i> cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) is a novel sterile line with potential application in rapeseed hybrid breeding. Sterile cytoplasm was obtained from <i>Isatis indigotica</i> through somatic fusion and then recurrent backcrossing with <i>B. napus</i>.
