ABSTRACT: Paired tumor and distant normal tissues from a cohort of 104 colon cancer patients were collected at West China Hospital and snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen. The informed consent forms were signed by the participants or their family members.

The incidence of intestinal diseases increases with age, yet the mechanisms governing gut aging and its link to diseases, such as colorectal cancer (CRC), remain elusive.
